This week we welcome back Joey Micelli. Since the last time, we talked he has released 2 albums, written in tandem, with 2 entirely different concepts. The album we talked about today is sonically different than all the music he’s made before, with lyrics reflecting himself, his past, and his growth. The Standard Portrait is meant to be an introspective look at a more somber period of Joey’s life. He wants to make a point of his music evolving, creating a character to personify this era of his music.
