What Are The Downsides Of A Lifestyle Business?

Internet Marketing and Entrepreneurship with Miles - A podcast by Miles Beckler | Internet Marketer and Online Business Entrepreneur

I received a great question from a viewer... "Hey Miles, everyone talks about how great a lifestyle business is... Are there any downsides? If so, what are they?" Brilliant question, because indeed too many internet entrepreneurs are only showing the 'fun side' to the business in order to impress you and try to get you to join their 'system'. This creates a situation where the ads you may see are D-Bags saying "Hey, everyone keeps asking me to do a 'Cribs' style walk through of my beverly hills home..." Ya right!?! No one cares! Or the shots of the super-cars and blingin' watches... Which all too often are RENTED!  Seriously... It is usually just a sham to try and get you to opt into their funnel by preying on your subconscious desire to live a lavish lifestyle that is perpetuated by TV. So, I felt like there needed to be an honest assessment of the downsides of an online business because there are some. And, to be perfectly honest, the upside potential still far outweighs the downsides, but it is important to have a balanced viewpoint. A traditional job has so many downsides... The alarm clock, the commute, the cubicle lifestyle, the inability to choose your co-workers, the nagging bosses and the permanent ceiling as to how much money you can make... The rat race is ugly and for me, I did everything I could and had to do, like giving up on going out with friends, working long hours into the night on my own gig after a long day at the real job and working weekends on my websites to make sure I could break free from the rat race.
